a fit test, a mattress, and star trek....oh my....

All in all we had another good week! and yes we're another week closer to baby brother getting here! YAY! we got the opportunity to go see Cory complete a fitness test for his the Air Force, he did very well taken the fact that it will probably be the last one he does while on Active Duty!! it was really fun and we discovered we were just the motivation he needed! He came and picked us up, and we met everyone at the gym, and while we waited for everyone who was testing to show up, I took the hint the girls gave me and we went and played in the grass, a good way to kill time I think..

The field was full of these little tiny daisy looking flowers, and hundreds of dandelions, they obviously hadn't mowed recently..:D

Kaylee payed more attention to their new kick ball then the flowers, which is ok, that's the point of the kick ball isn't it?

Nikoy enjoyed hunting for the elusive purple clovers, and heaven forbid i get a normal smile out of her.....

Kaylee would run, kick her ball,. stop and grab a dandelion and shake it and shake it till all the fluffs were gone, then she'd run and kick her ball again... at one point she grabbed a weed and tried to brush some hair out of her face with the hand holding the dandelion...if you look closely her hair is now covered in dandelion fluff..

When everyone finally showed up we went inside to start the test, the girls and I sat on the side lines and I watched Cory while the girls took turns throwing the ball at each other.

First off they had to do a waist measurement which Cory was happy to announce he'd lost the "sympathy" inches he gained for me..:) we've both gotten rounder since i got pregnant, the only difference is Cory's gotten the inches off already and i still have to wait a few more weeks.... *sigh* anywho, after he passed the waistline part.

Push-Ups where next, which was difficult for him to do unless he does them on his fists, but the Air Force regulations say you have to have your palms flat on the floor and fingures facing forward, because of him breaking his wrist a while back, he no longer has the full range of motion he needs to do that.. so these push ups hurt a bit.

anywho, he had to do 57 to max out this part of the test, but despite his difficulty he managed to do 60 push-ups in a minute, meaning he passed with flying colors!

meanwhile the girls were doing gymnastics.......

After the push-ups were the sit-ups!! and well, since he has NO difficulty's here he got 59 sit-ups, and the Air Force only wanted 53, a fantastic score again, I think he was showing off..:)

This is Cory saying, "Hail to the King baby!!!"
After the sit ups they get to run a mile and a half, and they have to do it quickly because the longer they take to run, the lower their score goes... so we left the gym and drove over to the track, and while Cory was stretching out for his run, Kaylee and Nikoy went rock hunting...

I don't quite understand their obsession with rocks, but it kept them busy...:)

So Cory got running, and the girls got cheering! and Cory got to have his own cheer squad! it was way cute, they were so proud of their Daddy..until about the 4Th lap...then they were just bored.....

but boy did he run.

and run...

and ran some more...:)
He ran the whole mile and a half in like 11 minutes it was great! last time a ran a mile ........ it took a lot longer then then that...but then again I'm like super slug, I'm so slow..

Unfortunately the end of the run signaled the end of the test, Cory passed it with flying colors! but we had to go back home, and he had to go back to work..:(...wah... so Cory dropped us off, and left... and we went on with our day... any who, we also learned this week that Cory will be in San Antonio either the 5Th or 6Th of June, and he'll be a week.... and that means that he'll be gone from week 37 to week 38... which worries me to no end, because Kaylee came at 38 weeks. and this little boy is getting so big the doctor says he'll be surprised if he stays passed 38 weeks... and if he shows up the 15Th or 16 that puts him just at 38 weeks, so that's what were praying for, Cory will have been home for a few days and hopefully over his jet-lag.. and we'll hopefully know whats in store for us in the near future!! any who.. after that fun news we continued on with our week and finally the weekend showed up!! Friday was fun we went and had dinner with the finches! AND WE GOT A NEW MATTRESS!!! and it hurts me, but only because I'm not used to it, and the fact that im as big as a whale doesn't help.... Cory LOVES it, but I'm reserving judgement for when im a bit..less pregnant... its a serta pillow-top mattress, and its absolute heaven for the first little bit, but i always wake up with a backache... and my hips hurting....but I'm a pregger what can i say? anywho.. Saturday we went swimming, which was way fun, i need to get cory to bring the little camera home next time we go swimming so i can take pictures of the girls in thier new swimming suits, they are WAY cute!! (thanks Nana!!) and im sorry but im not bringing my big Nikon to the swimming pool... unless i could like put a padlock on it..:) anywho, after swimming we went and saw the new star trek movie which was WAY awesome!! (if you haven't seen it, and don't want anything spoiled stop here and go away..otherwise continue.. ) I loved it! if your a true Trekkie, you may not like it because they kinda changed the timeline a little bit sorry if I've spoiled anything for you... and it does kinda erk me that they changed it, but it did make for an excellent story line, and the acting was fantastic, the action scenes were thrilling! and well, let me put it this way.. my four year old stayed awake through the whole movie, oohing and awing the whole thing, the pretty space scenes, and the big explosions... she loved it! so yeah, I'd recommend it..:) anywho, I'm going to leave you with a pretty pic of a dandelion..and the silliness of mine hubby..:)

I found cory's long lost twin....Cory meet johnny bravo...

This is Cory standing next to his Xbox Live avatar.....look their twinners!!

Another fun weekend

;) so Friday we went to a birthday party! the birthday boy turned 2 on the 5Th and we celebrated on the 8Th! it was quite fun really, and sherry finally got the cake she was craving!! (she LOVES frosting.. but only on cake..) anywho..

we got to the finch residence and there were balloons.... lots of balloons...

and the kids had a blast with them..

to get things started the kids each took turns killing a poor defenseless pinata... but the candy inside was well worth it..:D

even baby aurora got in on the action!!

Finally it was time to do eat cake...

:D
(ignore the wrist brace, its Cory's, i was just messing with it..)

so we got rulon a huge tool set (plastic of course..) and he seemed to like it, in fact everyone liked it...

they all took turns fixing the other toys..

it was too cute
anywho. these pictures were done just before the party, it was a beautiful day! and i couldn't help but take advantage.

we were waiting for Cory to come out to the car. the little play castle thing belongs to some neighbors who are to lazy to bring it up to their apartment, they get upset when other peoples kids play on it, but according to housing rules its free game... the owners try to defend themselves by saying they have a fourth floor apartment that doesn't have a balcony and they have no where else to put it, but housing told them they have storage rooms below the building for that purpose, if they really don't want people playing on it they need to stick it in their assigned storage room....but then they'd have to drag it out whenever they wanted to play on it, and drag it back when they were done...heaven forbid... and anyways, little Kaylee cant do anything to it, it's the teenagers they need to worry about..

so one of the joys of spring is the dandelions! and Nikoy cant get enough of them!!
she always has a handful of them whenever she goes outside..

and she's too dang cute...
anywho, it dawned on me that I've got less then 6 weeks till our due date, in fact its closer to five weeks now because we may be inducing a week early if all goes as planned.. I'm hoping he actually comes BEFORE the inducing date, because that would be fantastic... as soon as i hit 37 weeks I'm OK with him coming at ANYTIME! as long as he's ready of course... Kaylee came at 38 weeks, so here's hoping he takes after his big sister.... it's so weird to think of Kaylee as a big sister!!! my baby's not going to be my baby anymore!!! she'll be my big girl!! oy.. of course i remember feeling the same way about Nikoy.. and she'll be 5 this year!!...IM GETTING OLD!!!! i remember someone telling me that Therese no better way to make yourself feel old then to have kids and watch them grow.. they were right...yesterday i graduated high school... today i have 2.8 kids and my oldest thinks she knows EVERYTHING! I'm not looking forward to the teenage years....anywho... so after the realization dawned on me, i also realized, im not ready for baby to show up yet, i still need the necessities, (diapers, bottles, Binky's, maybe a few outfits..) we've got the crib, its the same crib nikoy and Kaylee used.. we went and got a new car seat, a new double stroller (it matches the car seat!!) and a little portable swing (it matches the stroller, AND the car seat!!). so yeah I'd just like to stock up on diapers wipes and get some formula to hold us over till we can get him on WIC.. the clothes are going to be fun to buy, i get to start allllll over on the clothes cause i know for a fact if Cory comes home to find his son in a pink onsie with a little unicorn on it there will be hell to pay. and we've been slacking, I've got some onsies and my mom and sister have sent a few adorable outfits, and i know Cory's mom will be sending some..:) ( i love family!!) my only problem is the bottles, i like the ventaire bottles, but all i can find right now are the fast flow bottles, so I'm patiently waiting for some slow flow, but i don't think that's going to happen so I'll probably end up having to change my preferences for now..granted Cory will be having to make a trip to San Antonio for his medical board thing, I'll just have to make him buy them there and send a package. we're hoping he leaves for San Antonio soon. like within the next week or two, i want him back BEFORE i hit 36 weeks... he'll only be gone a week, and as much as i don't want to be without him for ANY length of time, i know its necessary, and as long as he's back in time I'm good... i am jealous though... he'll get to eat at all the restaurants we miss so much, Wendy's, arby's, *sigh* :D when we get back we're going to become fast food junkies i just know it... any who, I'm gonna get, I'll leave you with these pictures of a pregnant me... in these i am 33 weeks, and i will admit, (it'd be funny if it weren't so depressing,) i made the mistake of measuring my waistline the other day, and was a bit shocked to discover I've put on a foot..... yes i am a full foot rounder then i was in October.. i feel HUGE.. its not so bad when I'm standing, but as soon as i sit, and everything settles, its a bit much for me... any who... enjoy!

a long blog to go with a long weekend...

what an awesome weekend!..so it started out fantastically! and pretty much ended fantastically too..:) first a few cute pictures.. the girls sleepin..:)

^_^
you'd think she'd be more comfy with her head on her pillow??

^_^ kaylee loves her animals...

-k- cuteness out of the way (for now..:D) we caved and bought guitar hero... we barrowed a guitar from a friend, because the one that came with the game we bought was little, and cory didnt much care for it.. but it fits sherry and the girls perfectly, so were keepin it..:D so heres my own personal guitar hero..:)

we have so much fun with this game! the gilrs like to "play" too .. nikoys not quite coordinated enough to actually play without getting cory booed off the stage, so he lets her think she's playing and he's not..:) kids are so gullible..

either way nikoy was having a fantastic time of it, and thats all that matters. all them cute smiles..

my little guitar hero..

while nikoy was bonding with daddy, kaylee was bonding with the cat....doesnt the cat look thrilled?

she's finally given in to Kaylees loving torture.. look at that cheese....he he he

at this point the cat has decided she's had enough, right after the flash went off, she bolted, leaving the tiniest of boo boo's on one of kaylees arms.. it didnt even bleed! but she wailed and whined anyways..
so, we thought, what better way to make her feel better then a diversion??

Kaylee's turn..:) she had as much fun as nikoy did! and she LOVED holding the guitar...

what a fun-tastic evening!! (im so punny)
so friday ended and saturday showed up, and with it a new " How to Host a Murder" party.
this time it was miss merritts turn to host, and despite the morning (all dang day) sickness, and the nausea, and the fact that shes 13 weeks pregnant! (now the world knows!! hahahaha) she did a great job!! the food was delicious, the seating comfy, and the laughs a plenty! it was a 1920's themed game called the chicago caper, and we had to investigate the death of the famous mob boss "hal capone" Cory's Charector was "Ernest G. Ambler".. he was a gambling mobster who ran his own bootlegging company...

and i will be the first to admit, my hubby is hot in a tux,...*sigh*
Nikoy and Kaylee and Aryka dressed in black and white stripes, they were our little alkatraz escapees.:)

we were awaiting the arrival of the other guests so Ernie (cory..:D) decided to get warmed up..

so yeah, cory was Ernest G. Ambler, and Sherry was Malissa F. Orthott (or "scoops") a pick pocket turned reporter who owed her career to "hal capone" no she wasnt supposed to be a pregger reporter, but what can ya do? hopefully next party i wont be a pregger anything any more...:D (6(ish) more weeks!!)

this is john and rebecca baker! they were so much fun to play with and it was great getting to know them a bit more (cory works with john..:) john was S. Treighton Harrow, the district attorney for chicago, and his wife was..... i dont remember her play name, but her nickname was "torchy", because of the red hot songs she sang.. yes she was a lounge singer! although, i dont think i heard her sing all night...:)

Angela and Jerome Barrett, (and teeny aurora) also known as
(i believe, i really should have written these names down..)
Molly M. awbster, and Eddie R. Guyle (dunno if i spelled em right..) molly was a flapper chic who was workin with ernie (cory ) doing the bootleggin thing, and she was also really good with a tommy gun, but she wouldnt admit it.. and eddie was a golfer who owned a night club called the "green tables" and if i remember right he was in on the bootlegging thing too......

flapper chic and eddie

ben and merritt was billy "the kid" thrower and silky m. adam
ben (billy) was a pro baseball player, who liked to "throw" the games. ha ha ha.
and Merritt was a madame who got her nickname of "silky" by the luxurious dresses she wore and the fact that she owned a night club that also provided the gentlemen with a woman for (and i quote) "stimulating conversation"....

baby aurora looks a bit worried doesnt she?

we had a cheese tray appetizer, and Kaylee couldn't help but stack the cheese.... see that concentration?

so heres the womens. thank you merritt for hiding my bump! i almost dont look 33 weeks preggers! so me ("scoops"), Merritt ("silky"), Rebecca (torchy), and angela (molly).

and the mens.., jerome (eddie), Cory (betty..just kiddin, he was ernie..) (dont ask..:D), Ben (billy), and john (mr. harrow)

3 of the 4 guys being silly....:D have i mentioned the hottness of my hubby in his new tux?

"silky" serving some dinner.. whats dinner without rolls?

the barretts awaiting dinner...

so just before dinner, one of the guests had to run to pick-up her sister from work, so we had to put the game on pause for a bit, and what better 1920's themed diversion, then a game of halo?.......wait.....

so our friend returned and we ate and got started on the game!

so after a bunch of reading, and

the occassional game of craps (craps?...seriously i think they named it that because when you roll a bad number you can shout, "crap!")...we finally came to the ending where we discovered the culprit, the murderer!
the killer of "hal" capone was none other then.......................................................................................... ( aaaah the suspence!!!)..........................................................................
Mrs. Silky M. Adam, herself!
(dun dun dun!!!!)

naughty naughty.....

so all in all a fun filled night, of fun and food... and yummy sparkling cider... the next day was sunday we had a semi typical sunday... we ended up going to the finches again fer dinner, we had a tasty lasagnia! and some garlic bread..watched some "fact or fiction" and then went home for beddy-bye time... now its monday. and hopefully some time this week we'll be learning the date of cory's appeal. yes we've decided to appeal his MEB he'll be going to texas at some point in may to try to convince the medical board that he's only got a year and a half left, and that they should let him at least finnish his enlistment. that will give us time to re-build our savings, and let him get as close to finnishng his degree as possible... as long as cory is active duty his schooling is free, so we may as well make use of it. up untill now he hasnt been given time, but he's vowing to make the time. and if they will let him stay in, he can get out after his enlistment, finnish his bachelors degree, and if we choose to, he can re-join the military as an officer, but we havent decided if we really want to go that route,
so yeah.. we'll see how that goes.. he'll be leaving mid-may more then likely, and he'll be gone a week.. i wish me and the girls could go with him, but unfortunatly, im no longer allowed to fly...we dont want to have a baby on a plane now do we... thats hardly the atmosphere im wanting... anywho.. girls are doing great, we got a package from nana on saturday and the girls are loving thier new jammies and cant wait to use thier new swimming suits!! (i'll post more pics...:)..) oh and the shoes? thank you nana, the girls wont take them off...:D.. as far as baby brother is concerned he's doing fantastically!, getting bigger and bigger every day, and finding new places to stick his feet. lately his favie has been the ribs...(OY). and sherry's doing good. she cant wait till june...she cant wait to let cory have his turn holding the baby... anywho... LOVES!!
p.s. again, forgive the spelling..spell check isnt working STILL!! and im too lazy to proof-read it..:)...LOVES!

6 years and counting..

so Cory and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary yesterday! (the 29th..:D and yes this will get mushy..deal with it..) and I will say, I love my Cory more now then I did 6 years ago..:D.. i didnt think it possible. but its true.. he has done so much to make sure my dreams come true.. i've never cared for a career. i've never even cared for a degree. you dont need a degree to be a mom, and thats all i've ever wanted to be. and thanks to his sacrifces, i get to be a mom and stay home to raise my kids. the only reason i'd ever get a job now, is because i want one (i dont). he's done so much to provide for our family, and he still manages to be an amazing father! our girls are such big daddy's girls its amazing! they already know if they want it bad enough they go sit on daddy's lap give him a hug, and they've got him wrapped around thier little fingers..

we celebrated by dropping our girls off at angela and jeromes house (thier blog is on my list, look em up! thier an awesome couple!) and we went and watched the new wolverine movie (romantic eh?) it was really good, now if you've ever read the comic book "origins" then you may be disappointed, but keep in mind, it is a movie.. as a movie, its REALLY good..:) then we went to the mexican cantina, and i had a super tasty burrito, cory had a terribly juicy and really yummy steak! it was really good, and kinda nice to have a somewhat quiet meal without yellin at the girls to eat, or sit down, or quit climbing on your sister...then we went and picked up the girls, and chatted with angela and jerome for a while, then we went home and went to bed cause our chat turned into an almost 2 hour conversation...:) angela was sweet enough to take these pictures as proof that my girls werent tortured..:) they look tortured dont they?
mmmmmmm pizza!
oh the torture!!
wait dinner AND a movie!..awesome!
so yeah. yesterday was a fantastic day! and just the nice quiet day i needed... today however....is a whole different matter... cory woke up this morning to get ready for work and ended up walking me up to tell me the fire alarm was going off.....AGAIN... we have weekly fire drills and its getting realllllllly old... they blame it on the faulty alarm systems....thats comforting..... so we got up at 6 and figured rather then sit out in the cold and wait for the fire department to get around to turning off the alarms, we took cory to work. then we came home and decided we were still tired and blessedly the girls actually went back to sleep.. so i thought JACKPOT!! so i went and tried for a nap, and alas...my upstairs neighbors are the most inconsiderate people known to mankind..all day everyday i hear STOMP STOMP STOMP STOMP STOMP STOMP STOMP STOMP. thats not so bad, its irriataing, but i can manage to ignore it.. however, today for about 2 and a half hours it sounded like they were stacking up thier furnature and knocking it all over again! then stacking it up and knocking it all over again! over...over..about 10-15 minutes of drag, squeak drag, and then one loud CRASH!!!!! and then 10-15 minute of drag squeak drag and then one loud CRASH! and then you could hear the mom screaming at her kids, and then you could hear the kids yellin at thier mom and then theres this awful sound of a temper tantrum, and moms yelling and kids are screaming and whatever is crahing is still being dragged across the floor, and no matter how many times i've been up there to remind them they dont live here alone, thye continue to get louder... so i've called the MP's and they tell me to call housing.. i call housing and they tell me to call the MP's........ so my sweet and amazing husband has decided he's going to have a chat with her hubby and remind him that i am due to have a baby here in about 6 weeks, and its hard enough for me to ignore the stomping, the least they could do is rough-house OUTSIDE. they can be as noisy as they want to OUTSIDE. take em outside.. so yes.. he's going to nicely remind the husband to remind his wife that she needs to show a little more control...if i can do it at 8 months pregnant..she can do it too.
all the more reason im madly in love with my Cory. he's my superman...and im his damsel in distress....
i even got curious and went down to talk to the people living below us and she assured me she has no complaints about us.. she says she never hears stomping, and our tv has never bothered her, and she never hears raised voices, and she thanked me!! ...and i thanked her back...:) so if i can manage to keep my children under control, why cant the upstairs people?? so i have made a solemn vow, and i made cory make the same vow.. we will live in a box in a field somewhere before i allow us to live in another apartment building... if need be, we'll rent a house.. or a town home....i will not have people living above me anymore... so yeah... anywho. i get to go out for some shopping therapy now..:) nothing special, just groceries and perhaps a donut or two from the bakery......:) but still..its shopping, and im away from here for an hour or two, so.. yeah.. anywho... love you all be safe! and i apologize for any mispelled words it seems the spellchecker is gone kaput.. and im to tired to care...:D

wow...

so we finally heard back from the MEB board, in novemberish cory went into MEB status and the whole process is supposed to take about 2 - 3 months... well five months later we finally got the results, and we were less then happy with them.. it appears the military wants to separate him. they'd give him an honorable discharge, and some disability pay, but we'd be starting back at square one. granted cory now has money for school, but we'd be uninsured, and with our girls and thier clumsiness, and a new baby, we NEED insurance. so we are now talking about what we want to do. we have decided that cory will be going to san antonio to try to appeal it and we will go on from there, and depending on what happens at the appeal, will determine our next move... they'll either return him to duty, and he'll train into a different job, or they'll decide the air force no longer needs him.. and when we know what they decide we'll make the next move.. so it could be a few weeks before he is called to san antonio. we're hoping he can at least take nikoy with him, that would make things easier on me at least.. although being separated will be hard on the girls.. they've never been apart for more then a few hours.. and cory could be gone a week, or more.. so we'll see!
we had a baby appointment yesterday, little shaun is doing fantastically! the doctor agrees with us, that with all that is going on the baby needs to be earlier then he's due, although theres not much we can really do about it. other then pray he's ready to be born two or even 3 weeks early, they are already estimating his wieght at fivish pounds, and with 6 weeks left till im 37 weeks, which is when the doctor feels he'll be ready to pop out, he could easily gain another 2 pounds, we're hoping for 3, and he'll be a happy healthy full term boy! so we'll see... after the appointment we went to the dermatology clinic and managed to get me some relief, i had what i thought was an enormous zit, as it turned out it was a very painful cyst, so they got rid of it, and it doesnt look like much right now, but it sure feels better.. hopefully within the next week or so it'll look better too..:D anywho, afterwards we went to dinner with some friends and then we went to the friends house to play some guitar hero......:) good stress relief.. we got home to discover we'd missed a few calls from family, so we spent the rest of the night talking to family members. so all in all we are ok. :) we're happy, we're healthy and as of right this second, thats what counts.....
