From the desk of Mr. Mom!

Well things have been very up in the air for us lately. Like walking through a thick fog not knowing what is on the other side. Sherry and I have switched places for a little while. We are still living in San Antonio, TX. Sherry is working full-time as a Book Specialist/Cafe Manager at a book store called Books-A-Million. She is working and doing a fantastic job in the last month not only has she been promoted but she is runs the stores cafe and all its workings. She is pulling sometimes 10 - 12 hour shifts back to back to help get us back on our feet and being the holidays is even more of a challenge for her.

I am attending College locally in hopes of being accepted into the Nursing program at the University of Texas. I was planning of a career in Law enforcement, but it just isn't where I see myself. I have wanted a medical career ever since I was a teenager, and with the help of my military benefits I will be able to push through to a Bachelors with my only worry being what grade I'm getting.

We have been looking for a place to live... somewhere that we can settle in for at least 2 to 4 years. As the Holidays approach homes, and even apartments are becoming more difficult to locate, at least in the areas we want.

Nikoy is doing great. She is like a dry sponge taking in every bit of knowledge she can understand, and even some she doesn't. We have set up a game where every day she is given a new vocabulary word regardless of how big it is, and by the end of the week she is tested on what she remembers. The last word she was given was inconspicuous, and she surprised us by using it today. She is excited for Santa and can wait to see if she was truly a good girl this year. Something tells me she may very well be on the nice list. We are looking into hopefully getting her into a late preschool prep to help prepare her for starting kindergarten next fall. I guess we can only wait and see if it works how we want.

Kaylee is growing so fast. She wants to be a big girl like her sister, but at the same time be the baby still. She asked Santa for the one thing I think that every little girl asks the Jolly man for, "a Pony." We will see if Santa lives up to her expectations. Who knows maybe he will come through for her.

Shaun or Cayden to me, is growing to fast. He is not even 6 months old and we are searching the city for any clothing at least 12 months. Our big Chunk is starting to roll and use his arms and legs regularly. He has even mastered the art of eating French Fries, and getting them everywhere.

hello eveyone! no we havent forgotten everyone! we have just been INCREDIBLY busy lately.. i'll tell you why.. hold on to your socks this next little bit will be an emotional roller coaster... first off, i want everyone to know about our sweet taylor.. some of you may have heard endless tales about my brave nephew and his battle with leukemia.. well unfortunatly on the second of november he passed away.. its such a sad thing and it was a shock to the whole family. but we have to remember he's not sick anymore.. he's no longer in pain. he's happy... so "phat" where ever you are, we miss you man. and we love you.

on a bit happier note. halloween was a blast, and thankfully we were able to spend it with taylor. we had so much fun trick-or-treatin:...ok we'll get to that.:D first the unveiling of our costumes.. we've been planning this for a long time and they were so much fun to do.. so here we are!

anywho, so september was an amazing month, my oldest baby turned 5!!! she's so big and she's so smart, she can sing and write her entire alphabet, she write her name on EVERYTHING!! im going to have to scan a picture in and show you sooo cute...
we had her birthday party at peter piper pizza (its the pizza people eat)....say that 10 times fast...he he he.. anywho, she got to have all her cousins for her party, it was so much fun!


in september baby shaun cayden also got to go swimming for the first time.

so yeah.. thats all i got right now.. i have some fantasterific news! i have hopefully gotten a job well im guaranteed a job all ready, but hopefully it will be as the book manager of books-a-million in san antonio!!:D how fun will that be? for those of you who really know me your thinking, "thats not a good place for sherry to work she'll never bring home a paycheck, just books....lots and lots of books...but i will try to limit myself so we can at least pay some rent...:) he he he.. if i do get the manager job i'll start the end of this monthish.. so.. cross your fingers and pray for me!! if i get this job,. cory can go to school, and i'll work, and in 3 or 4 years, he'll be a nurse, on his way to being a docter, and i'll be working still because i want too..:) the other good news, is that between the 8th and the 14 or 15thish of october we will be in utah...:D.....if anyone wants to see us or hang out, e-mail your phone # to me, phyre_dancer@hotmail.com and i'll call and we'll do lunch..or something..:) that goes for EVERYBODY!... we wont be in utah long enough for my liking.. but unfortunately i made my bed now i get to jump on it.. or something like that... :) anywho.. i gotta go.. i love and miss you all! holy stuff!!..:)

ok so its been a while!! :) all is well here in Texas! things have been moving along steadily and we're hoping that they continue! we've been doing a lot of playing..:D and its been great but unfortunately the vacation is over and now its crunch time!! :)
we got here the firstish of august, and got reacquainted with the malls..:), and what not. we got season passes to six flags, so we've been going quite a bit lately.. my family was able to come down and visit for the baby's blessing! so thankfully my dad and most of my brothers were able to stand in, it was nice! my (big) little brother camber finally got to meet kaylee and cayden, i was very happy to discover the girls were not in the least bit shy around grammy and grampa! or any of my siblings they were so excited! and even now nikoy will walk up to me and say she wants them to come back again.. so yeah..:) we are hoping to be able to go to Utah for Christmas! it all depends on jobs and stuff.. cory is currently working for car max, its the company we bought our car from (we'll get to the car, hold your horses...) but he works basically as an inventory guy, he does all the inspections and paper work for any car coming or going, and its only temporary until he gets settled into the police academy. he has a few tests he has to pass before they'll allow him to join so hopefully (pray for us...) we aren't worried about the fit test because he's had to do fit tests for years in the military and the police departments test aren't much different.. so i have no doubt he'll do well, but you never really know do you? so anyways, i am still in the search for a job, :) although the i may have gotten one at the Disney store which I'm not sure whether or not its a good idea for me to work there.. i may not ever bring home a paycheck..:D any who.. the girls are adjusting well, they are beginning to wonder when were going home to Germany, and we keep having to remind them that we're not going back to Germany.. the baby has more then doubled his weight! he's almost 14 pounds!and he's such a chunk we cant get enough of him.. he has FINALLY started sleeping a little more, he eats around 11 PM and then sleep till about 6 am so theres a few hours for me to sleep!! my birthday came and went.. Cory got me the new Nintendo DS i, and a few games, although i LOVE the camera feature on it! i didn't even know these things existed until a few weeks ago ( Germany is still in the dark ages....) but i have already conquered Zelda and the phantom hour glass, (go me!!) and i am currently enjoying the peace of Sim animals..:) no still no pet foxes yet....grrrrrrr...anywho.. we also went out to the tower of America in downtown San Antonio and we got to sit in a window seat and watch the city as the tower slowly spun around it was awesome!! and the steaks are AMAZING..i do plan on going back..:) any who.. nothing else really to report all is well, we are doing great just living day to day... we love you all and hope to see you soon!! enjoy few pics on me..:) trust me there would be HUNDREDS, this isn't my computer, and i don't know the software well enough to edit any of the pictures yet,,, I'm working on it..:)

Texas.

well we are safe and sound in texas, its been hectic, we haven't had a moments peace to call any of our friends, i finally have a minute to sit and relax, and I'm blogging....go figure..:D. anywho.. we are doing all right..considering. i've applied for more jobs this past week then i have my entire life.. we are doing everything we can to get out of cory's moms house. we are to used to being on our own, not having anyone to answer too, this whole sharing lives is driving us mad. so we are looking into a couple of town homes to rent. we've decided texas is more then likely NOT a permanent thing. neither of us much like it.. its to confusing here. we'll see how it pans out though.. hopefully one of the jobs i've applied for will pan out and we'll get to move to our own place.. we can go now if we want, but without a source of income no one will rent to us, cory will probably not be able to do the police thing till novemberish, so we're looking at fourish months that i need to work enough to support us.. it could possibly be six, so we'll find out.. anywho.. we got here and i am HAPPY to announce that i butched the crap out of my hair... i donated 11 and a half inches to locks for love..i now have a short croppy do, and (don't laugh) i now have bangs.. i know i vowed never again, but its recently dawned on me the actual size of my enormous forehead..:) so bangs were a must until my self esteem is back up a bit more.. Cory's slowly going crazy, its going to be months before his plans pan out and he's starting to feel impatient and boxed in.. which is why im looking for work, maybe if i can find a good enough job, he can concentrate on school.. the girls dont have a clue as to whats going on.. they think we are on vacation.. nikoy is getting excited to go back to germany, because she misses her friends. i 've had to tell her more then once, we'll probably never be in germany again... but she doesnt want to hear.. baby shaun is growing so fast, he's just over 10 pounds already, and he eats like and elephant.. anywho.. theres really nothing else to report.. i do miss my germany friends and im ready to make some new texas friends. but alas...the time.... there is just not enough of it.. anywho.. wish us luck! it may be a while before i do a new post, my family is coming to visit me soon and it'll be after that that i post so.. yeah.. anywho.. love you all wish us luck!!

im going home....

well.. homish.. we leave for texas in a few hours,.. its almost one right now, the shuttle gets here to pick us up at 6:40.. we go tothe airport, and fly out at 11:00 am, and then we reach dallas around 3:30-4 ish.. (i dont remember specific times.. i just know im going to a place that speaks my language and uses my currency!!) then theres a 2 hour layover, and then we fly off to san antonio, and we get there at 5:30 ish.. something like that! so.... im so excited, but at the same time, its a bitter sweet thing... much as i hated living here, it was a beautiful place, with nice people.. ( at least the americans...) there are a few i will miss..:) you know who you are..:) but thank goodness theres a thing called e-mail. if only SOME people would check thiers once in a while..:) (LOVE ya merritt..:D) anywho, i just want to let the world know what amazing people ben and merritt finch are, they have put up with us for the past week, and havent complained once.. they are so helpful, and so giving, and we really truly appreciate all you guys have done for us!! from giving us a bed to letting us use your car!! you guys are the greatest!!
and angela and jerome (another shoutout..:D) you guys are awesome, too! i wish we could have gotten to say some real goodbyes, we'll miss you guys so much too! keep updating your blog and e-mailing me, i expect lots of pregger pic angela! and for everyone else i know i'll miss... my e-mail is Phyre_dancer@hotmail.com, e-mail me!! and we'll keep in touch!! well. we had a hectic day, yes everything worked out and we were able to get our stuff shipped out TODAY...(close call huh?) we'll be recieving all our household belongings, mid to end of september.. so.. it'll be a while.. anywho..thats all for now, im exhausted and i have to get up in 4 hours, so yeah.. to everyone in germany, goodbye and best wishes! to everyone back home, we'll see ya soon!!! P.S.. i forgot to mention, we had my little man weighed yesterday, he's now weighing in at a whopping 9 pounds 8 ounces!!! he's gained 3 pounds in only a month!! now thats my boy!!

a day from the deepest darkest recesses of hell......

:) oh what a day...

so we were supposed to be moved today....we woke this morning expecting our house to be emptied, and our stuff sent on its way... unfortunatley about 2 hours into the packing one of the german movers discovered a small nest of cockroaches... which cory immediatly destroyed, however, because the movers saw all five of the roaches they decided they will not move us untill we can prove the roaches have been destroyed... in fact they got upset with us because we had roaches. my responce was that we have had the maintainance people over multiple times to spray and poison and attempt the destruction, unfortunatly, all times have failed miserably... anywho, so we had the big head honcho pest control man over and he's going to go through our apartment and DESTROY anything that moves, that has more then 2 legs... anywho, so we got it worked out that we'll be moving our household goods on tuesday instead,,,,,SIGH.... BIG ordeal, theres a lot more that went on then im letting on, but i dont want to get restarted.... its late, and im to tired to vent..:D... anywho... so the main reasoning for updating is to let all our adoring fans know that we are now in the process of leaving this "fantasttically wonderful country..." well we are one step closer to coming home, and I'm a little heart broken over it, but I'm also very thankful its over... so I've been in a bit of a panic lately because we had less then 2 weeks to find a new loving family for my kitty Jazmin.. you see, i had a vet appointment made to get jazzy up to date on her shots, and to schedule her to get her fixed, and well, as luck would have it, the morning of her appointment, i went into labor..so we had to cancel her appointment and when i tried to reschedule i had to accept the depressing news that she could no longer go home with us. she hasn't had a rabies shot yet, and she has to have one, and it has to be at least thirty days old before they'll let her on a plane.. and sadly, we don't have 30 days.. so i began to panic a little because we have less then 2 weeks before we are moving out of our apartment, and in with some friends, who i happen to know doest exactly like the cat. so my goal was to find her a new family before then.. well i called the vet clinic wondering what my options were and they told me of a fantastic website, i could post her on and if i was lucky some one would be interested. so i went ahead and did it, hoping and praying someone who needed a sweet and snugly kitty would find it. thankfully someone was listening! not even an hour had passed since i put up the ad, and my phone was ringing, so i told the lady about my sweet kitty, i told her our situation, and the cats situation, and she said she saw the pictures and LOVED them, and she wanted to know where i lived to she could come meet her, and see if there was a click. so i told her and she started to laugh, as it turns out, we live across the street from each other....it was a sign... so she walked over, and i let her into my apartment, and i handed her the cat, and there was a definite click....within seconds this lady found jazzy's "sweet spot" and had her purring... so the lady explained that she was planning on having this cat, but she needed to convince her husband. so she went home, and we decided to keep me from stressing out about it, we'd go see ice age 3, (way cute, way funny, just the stress relief I needed,) but we got home and the lady called to say her hubby was convinced and they wanted to come over and pick her up... NOW??!?!?! so now i wish i had stayed home and gotten in one last snuggle... then again it would have made it harder to let go.. any who.. they came and got her, and her belongings.. bed, kennel food bowls, food, what not, and she's hopefully in a PERMANENT home. the lady promised me she would be bringing her back to the states with them, she's planning on getting a pet passport so they can travel with her!! so i hope we did the right thing... the girls are sad, but they'll get over it.. it'll make things easier for the clean up, and well, i can sleep better knowing she's probably curled up in bed with her new owners, Cory was a bit allergic to her, so she couldn't be in our room... :) so now all we have to do, is get our apartment cleaned, packed, shipped, and we'll be done.. Cory's been doing briefings and out processing all week, I've had my dermatology appointment, i get to go in to get my birth control, cuz, i don't want another baby yet.... I'm good with the one i gots... cory's got a few more appointments, the baby has an audiology appointment, to make sure he can hear...and then we have a final WIC appointment where we'll get all the paperwork we need to transfer records and what not to Texas, so we can have some WIC down there, cuz, formula is expensive...

so we do have a lot to do. but hopefully the final week will be able to relax and spend some time with the amazing friends we've made here! hopefully...:D any who.. so that's it for now.. nothing new really... just a lot of "stuff" any who.. i have a few pics posted enjoy them!!

Baby Shaun updates!

hello everyone!!
so we had the baby's 3 day appointment on the 29th of June, and it was awful funny, because the doctor started to explain what we already knew, most babies lose weight the first few days of life, and the goal is to get them back to their birth weight by their two week appointment. well as she was explaining this she placed my little man on the scale and wrote down what it said. then she stopped and startled to chuckle..he was born at 6 pounds 10 ounces, and at his 3 day he weighed in at 6 pounds 13 ounces.. OK so he put on weight instead of taking it off... cool! yay we were proud! :) so yesterday, being the 9th of July was his 2 week appointment! and they did the usual, checking everything, and then they weighed hi, and we are pleased to announce that my little man has put on a full pound! he's now 7 pounds 10 ounces! and he's so dang cute! see for yourself!

awwww precious!! :D he he he.. so he was also in our local news paper! Sherry submitted him into the "new arrivals" section..:) yes it has been clipped and saved for scrapbooking! :D

he's so cute, we can't get enough of him...

i finally got a picture of me with him..:) my chin is slowly getting better, I'm not so self conscience about it any more..:) i have an appointment coming up with the dermatologist, my usual medication isn't working as well as we'd like so we get to try something a little more aggressive, and thankfully because i chose to bottle feed, theres no medication i cant try!! so i can finally get to looking somewhat normal..:) hooray!!

any who, so the fourth of July came and went, we had a blast! we pretty much sat around all day and did nothing, until around dinner time, we went to the "rock in fourth" party the air force held, it was fun to walk around the girls got to get their faces painted!

the girl who painted nikoys face LOVED her, she said she was the easiest to please, all nikoy wanted was shapes.. a heart on one cheek, a star on the other, and a Circe and a square on each hand!!

Kaylee says : "it's a bumble bee" and she has a pretty firework on her other cheek..
we also let them go in a few bouncy castles, and do a few of those big blow up relay race thingy's..... they did fantastic! :) and had LOTS of fun!

Baby brother enjoyed himself too.. he had a nice long nap..:D

anywho, so after all the fun was spent we went home to barbecue some chicken! and wait for the fire works... which would have been fantabulous! if it werent for one thing...

the darn trees..... :) the ones they actually shot up high enough to be seen over the trees were pretty! and despite the tree's the girls enjoyed themselves...

so all in all, we've had fun! its been great! and will hopefully continue to be great! Cory finally got his separation orders, we're officially civilian as of july 30th! meaning we'll be on a plane home probably on the 30th!! so we're excited..we'll.. there will be people we will miss...we've made some amazing friends here and we'll be sad to leave, but thanks to the wonders of e-mail and blogger we'll be able to stay in touch!! any who!! baby's hungry!! LOVES!

HI everyone! yeah its been a bit, but as you may have guessed by now, we've been busy with a new little blessing!! he chose to come on Wednesday the 24th of June at 6:46 in the evening! and what an event that was.. it all started when Sherry woke up at about 6:30 in the morning in some major pain.. so after she made herself calm down and try to relax we decided that maybe this was it, and we decided to go in. we dropped the girls off at the finches (THANK YOU FINCHES!!) and headed to the hospital. when we arrived they hooked sherry up to the no-stress machines that monitor the baby, and sherry's contractions, and after almost an hour the nurses decided sherry wasn't progressing as much as they would like so they went to talk to the doctor about sending us home, (which would have been cruel because of how much pain sherry was in..) well the doctor came in and saw how much pain she was in and decided to watch her for a bit longer, well the contractions progressed a little and the doctors noticed something wrong.. with the big contractions the baby's heart rate dropped drastically...where his normal heart rate was around 130, when sherry had a contraction it dropped to the mid 90's... so the doctor decided there was definitely something wrong, and they went ahead and admitted us in the hopes of getting this baby here safe and sound the old fashioned way (no C-sections. Sherry DID NOT want a C-section..) so with the help of some pitosin, and a much needed epidural things got rolling! we knew we had a few hours so we watched the "pink panther 2" which was quite funny, and thankfully helped pass the time. well they came in and checked sherry around 6:25 ish and we were happy to hear she was dilated to a 7! so we figured another hour and a half maybe 2 hours tops! so Cory went ahead and went to get him some dinner, and at about 6:30ish Sherry had to call the nurse in to tell her she felt strange.. the nurse came in and checked on her, and sure enough in the 5 minutes Cory had been gone sherry had completely dilated and baby was ready to come! so Sherry had them page Cory back and thankfully he got there in time!! well things happened, (we wont go into the gory detail..:D) and at 6:46 Shaun Cayden Anderson made his appearance, and the doctor announced that he had the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck three times, and he was very VERY pale. so they cut the cord and took him away to get him breathing, and to see if they could get him to be a little more alert! he hadn't cried, hadn't screamed, not even a squeak, and sherry was terrified. the nurses decided he needed fluids and some intensive care so he was taken to the NICU for an IV and some observation, sherry made Cory go with them because she knew as long as Cory was there nothing could go wrong.. so after about 3 hours recovering, and a bit of panicking (sherry REALLY needed to see her baby..) she finally got to hold him and get a bit of good news, the fluids helped bring his color back, and when they gave him his vitamin shot he screamed like a banshee!! and thank goodness he'd passed all the little tests they'd done to make sure there was no brain damage, he was now considered a happy healthy newborn!! we also finally learned that he was 6 pounds 10 ounces! not the "over 7" the ultrasound told us. and he was 21 inches long!

this is him before he got taken to the NICU, he was so pale, it scared us to death! because the cord was wrapped so tight he wasn't getting the oxygen and blood flow he needed, so he was a bit anemic..

Our poor baby, minutes old and already getting poked full of holes!! his hand is all wrapped up for the IV...see he's already getting color back!! after all the drama and Sherry finally got to hold her son, they moved her into the mother baby unit and Cory left her and the baby to go get the girls, it was too late to bring them in to meet their brother, so he just took them home and put them to bed. the next day however they got to come in after Kaylee's dental appointment, which we are proud to say the dentists were very happy with how strong her teeth are!
anyways, the girls arrived and were ecstatic to finally meet baby brother!


they waited a long time to meet this little man, and he was a hit! the girls instantly fell in love with him!! Nikoy loves to hold him and help feed him!

Kaylee couldn't resist his charms and had to give him a kiss!

she was as excited to meet him as Cory and sherry were!! she loves holding him as well, Nikoy and Kaylee are forever fighting over who gets to hold him first...

unfortunately because of the triple cord around his neck they made Sherry and the baby stay 2 nights, but they got to come home Friday afternoon, the nurses were all sad to see them go, and they got stopped by 3 or 4 nurses who had to say goodbye..

so we got Baby brother home and settled. this is him in his bouncer, he does have a swing but we decided that because we'll be going back to the states in a month, and our belongings will be packed up and shipped off in about 2 weeks, there's really no point to putting it together, so we'll be using the bouncer until we get settled in the states. either way he LOVES it! it plays 10 different songs from lullaby's to classical music, and it even has a noise maker, so baby boy can sit and listen to the ocean, or the rain, or even a heartbeat! and it vibrates! he loves that.

well, that's about all we have to report on so far, we are all doing great! we're happy to finally have the baby here, we are already getting started with the packing and de-junking of our house. getting ready for the movers to come. sherry is insisting on packaging up all her willow tree figurines, she doesn't trust the Germans to understand the importance of them, everyone of her figurines hold sentimental value, and she knows if they were to break in the move the company would replace them, but they cant replace the significant value.. so she's doing it herself. the movers can pack up the packages....Cory is also having to box up his collections of corvettes and superman figurines.. for the same reasons as sherry..we don't trust the movers.. we are also having to throw away a lot of junk and clutter, so we're digging through closets and cupboards and what not. Monday the 29th is baby Shaun's first appointment we'll let you all know how that goes. we also get to go back to the hospital to take care of his birth certificate and get his passport stuff rolling.. so wish us luck on that!! any who, we gotta go.. everyone take care and be safe!! we love you all!
