disney land-paris-new baby

fair warning to you all....its gonna be a LONG one!!

-K- so we have had one heck of a week I'll tell ya what! so Monday (the 3rd) we woke up at 4 in the morning to begin our drive to Paris! up at 4, out the door by 5! Cory drove the whole way because he's an awesome man who likes to drive, while I'm a tired space case who would rather sit and stare blankly out the window.. anywho.. he's better at paying attention on long drives..

the girls did pretty well, considering they'd been up since 4:30, nikoy stayed awake long enough to watch the sunrise around 7ish, but kaylee, dozed off around 6ish..
And they woke up to shouts of joy, after almost 4 hours of driving we were almost there!! (the sign says Disneyland, exit 14, 22Km which is kilometers for those, like me, who are metrically challenged...)

so we got to our hotel, the Davey Crockett ranch, and nikoy stole and horded the pretzels all to herself.. while daddy ran inside to get our tickets, it was to early to check in so we decided it could wait till after we had some fun at Disney land..

kaylee could have cared less....

so back on the "autoroute" (we're in France remember?) and around a few (4 or 5) round abouts, and its comes into view....

the girls were ecstatic to say the least..

Nikoy ran along with cory, who was pushing Kaylee in the stroller, since i was to busy taking lots and lots of pictures...

we got to the actual disney land resort paris hotel, which by the way is about 250 euro a night, per person....(OUCH!) and it also served as the front gate.

so about 15 minutes in line, and we were totally in!!

walking down Mainstreet USA (in paris??) the view directly in front is pretty darn amazing... and yes thats a train coming at me... it's loaded with disney characters... death by disney!!

our first ride was the haunted mansion, the line was short and the girls were excited, it dawned on nikoy that we were in the HAUNTED mansion just before we walked in the house, at that point she wanted to leave, "no scary!" but we didnt giver her a lot of choice....

the haunted mansion is one of mine and cory's favie rides so we were gonna do it..

after the first ride we went off in search of pirates of the Caribbean, we stopped for a quick breather, and kaylee was silly for a picture... bugger....

pirates ended up being in "adventure land" which was all decorated for halloween!.......still... and we had to stop for the photo op..

the girls thought this was totally pointless, but we made them do it anyways..

on the way to pirates we found neverland... didnt even have to follow a star....

captain hooks ship and skull rock was to much if an fun photo op... the more pictures the merrier.

we finally found pirates and we got into the long line and waited, and around one of the many bends there was this empty jail cell cory got nikoy to go into, she didn't like it... we got on the ride, enjoyed the singing and dancing and naughtiness of the pirates, who all spoke french...... odd since we were in france right? anywho, we wandered around a bit more and decided it was probably best if we actually ate some food. so cory went and got in a HUGE line, the line for the food was longer than any ride line.. and us girls found a table and defended our territory...

cory got the funnest kids meal in france! i bet McDonald's doesn't have mickey shaped pizza.....

cory and i shared a lasagnia and some penne pasta in sauce, then it was time for the gelati!!! MMMMMMMMmmmmmmmm gelati...

nikoy loved the strawberriness,

Kaylee loved the creaminess,

and i was lost in space......

so it was euro disneys 15th anniversary, cool beans... Lumiere (beauty and the beast candlestick man,) was the spokes person which made ALOT of sense, since he's french and his catch phrase is "be our guest" the girls spent a good 10 minutes completely ignoring us and climbing all over the poor man...candle.

the castle was all decorated too, there was about 10 spires to the castle and on each spire was a different disney character, with tinkerbell circling the top..it was very pretty, i wouldn't mind living there...as long as it has indoor plumbing and an elevator....

after posing for pics in front of the castle we decided to walk through the castle, and on the other side in the "courtyard" was the sword in the stone! unfortunately neither of my kids will be the next queen of England...

we decided to wait in one of the longest and slowest lines in the entire park, yes the autotopia...and we were excited to learn both girls were able to drive our cars, cory sat with nikoy and i sat with kaylee, neither girl could reach the gas pedal, but they both had a LOT of fun driving like drunken lunatics.

my two year old is driving!! only in Europe...

well, we wandered around a bit more, saw some sights, bought some suckers, and soon the sun was down and the park was closing... so we walked the mile and some change to the car..

we got to the car, got to our hotel and made some hot dogs and beans. it was interesting, because the hotel wasn't rooms, Davey crickets ranch is a big ranch house, with a little petting zoo that we unfortunately could not see, because it was opened from 10 am to 7 pm, and that "just happened" to be the park hours, and we figured, we came for Disney land not a petting zoo, so it's all good.. anywho, the ranch house had a petting zoo, a little shoppette, and a swimming pool, and all around the ranch was a bucket load of little "bungalows" which were actually little trailers dressed up to look like cabins..
so we got to our trailer, made some hot dogs and beans and went to sleep! tuesday we woke up and got dressed, cory went an got our free breakfast which consisted of various french breads, croissants, and baguettes, and all that good stuff, and we got to the park in just enough time to get an awesome parking spot, and head in to play, cory went on space mountain first, since it was early enough there wasnt really a line. the ride made him dizzy so we decided it was best i not go on it since i was nauseated as was.. so we then tried to do the star wars ride, but unfortunately for kaylee she was 2 inches to short, so cory took nikoy and kaylee and i walked to the little shop to Cheer her up. when cory and nikoy got back we went back into "fantasy land" and who should we see, but cory's hero..

the girls were beyond ecstatic! who would have guessed the real live Donald duck would be at Disney land?? it was all they talked about the rest of the day, until we rounded a corner and there was dopey..

and sleepy,

And even grumpy... who despite his pessamistic ways, and mean temper, is always everyone's favie dwarf..

after the dwarves we decided it was time for the most infamous ride in the worlds, i'll give you a hint, " its a small world after all, its a small world after all, its a small world after all, its a small small world!!!!" (sorry i dont usually sing in public...) but we got side tracked on our way there by alices maze!

cory worked the video camera while i worked the clicky flashy camera..:) (yay me!)

we had lots of fun walking among the mad and crazy people of wonderland
nikoy had fun posing, 4 different couples got this pictures of nikoy... i should have been charging money..

towards the end we found yet another photo-op, and we couldnt resist..

thankfully this time we remembered our itty bitty tri-pod, so we finally got a family pic!

at the exit of the maze we were pulled into the temptation of the super short teacup line,

the girls thought it was the funnest thing since mud...

after the teacups there was no more stalling, it was off to small world! nikoy was her usually freaky self..

they were so excited to be in these little boats i cant remember the last time i laughed so hard..

the ride let out right in front of the merry-go-round, and nikoy demanded to go, so we decided why not..

the girls loved it, much like every ride we went one, but this one was special, this one was the favie among the girls, even kaylee cried when we pulled her off her horse, they could have spent all day on those horses.

this was my horse, i call her hawn. but you can call her goldie..

with all the pictures we had of the castle we realized we didnt ahve a family pic, so we took one.
we decided since we had a hopper pass we may as well make the most of it, and go to the other park, disney land studios, which was alot like the EXTRAS on a DVD, more "how we did it" then fun and games.. but they had a new nemo ride which we didnt do because kaylee was to short and she is my nemo fanatic and it would have broken her heart, but there was a magic carpet ride that had no line whatsoever, so we went on that instead, we also got ice cream pops, and i had a crepe....yes a crepe, in france...who'da guessed it huh? we stopped at a few photo ops, and kaylee didnt care, she was thoroughly exhausted, after our battle to get her off her horse, she just didnt care anymore..

that is untill we saw her......

who can make it all better?? not mommy, not daddy, MINNIE!!!! even i got into the spirit...

she was very short...

and around the bend by the magic carpets, was king lewie himself..

we went on the carpet rides and decided it was dinner time. so we stopped at a few last photo-ops, and then went and got mickey burgers....mmmmmmmmm mouse...

and lets just say Mike Wazowski was very pleased with himself, 2 hot chikas, one for each arm.. just dont tell celia...

after dinner we decided we'd had enough for one day and went back to our bungalow, got suits on and went swimming, it was very cold... this is what the inside of our bungalow looked like.. nothin special, but it was cozy..
the view from the living room...

the view from the kitchen... how sweet..

this is our bed room, nikoy had the top bunk, kaylee was jealous until she tried to climb the ladder and fell... then she was content with the bottom..
day 3 was eventful! the girls were good enough we decided to let them go in thier dresses, and it was so good that we did. we walked our little sleeping beauty through the castle, and who should walk in as we're walking out? aurora herself!

Nikoy was speechless, which is a hard thing to accomplish for a four year old.
Kaylee also got to meet her idol... and it was well worth the wait!

and cory got to meet his...:) just kidding, but the bad guys are his favorite...

cory got this sweater at a souvineer shop.. isnt it tasty on him? anywho. after we got the last few charector pictures we wanted we decided to call it good. and it was time to fulfill one of sherry's dreams..

this is the notredam, well the side of it anyways, i didnt get any good frontal views, sorry guys.
this was my dream.. the eifell tower in paris. a big, metal...tower...in paris.. huge and metal.. in paris...
we took alot of eiffell tower pictures, but only being able to download 5 at a time was getting ot be a pain.. so i only picked my favies..
gotta have a family pic of course...

and of course, how can younot kiss in front of the eiffell tower...inparis...the city of big metal towers.. and love.... after the tower we decided to drive round a bit, we saw a few more things, took pictures that didnt turn out, and decided it was time to go home... and at 10 pm on wednesday eveing we got home and went to bed!

thursday morning we got up, cory had to go check in at work, and on his way he dropped me off at the clinic ewhere i did a real pregnancy test, and as you all know it came out possitive. the nurse who called to tel me was appauled to discover that i still had an IUD in place. for those who dont know, an IUD is an InterUterine Device. its basically a plug.. gross i know deal with it. its supposed to be one of the best forms of birth control, and it worked fantastically for two and a half years! but i supose it was meant to happen right? anywho, so they had me go in on friday and i got rid if the IUD, they were worried that because of the IUD it was an ectopic pregnancy, which means the egg would be in the fallopian tube instead of the womb (yay health leasson! "mommy how are babies born?".."go read sherry's blog and find out..") so i was terrified that i would have to abort, but thankfully, the little ones right where it needs to be! and all is well so far!

see? this is my happy little bean! the fuzzy looking newt in the little black circle thats surrounded by more fuzzyness, is our baby. this picture was messuring the fetus, which has decided im 8 weeks pregnant (as of the 10th of november)

this picture is messuring the heart beat, yes we got to hear its heart beat! it was exciting! the docter felt sorry for me when she asked how i was feeling and i told her i would be a very happy preggar if i didnt have to deal with the whole morning sickness "thing", but other then the vomitting I'M FANTASTIC!! we got home form our appointment and decided to let the girls have thier favorite souveneers, hugemongo lollipops...

we've had a fantastic week full of fun, and miracles, and i cant wait till things get back to normal! we miss you all so much adn cant wait to see you again! thanks for taking the hour or two, or however long it took to get through this monster of a blog. i hope you all are safe and sound! be safe! and get ready for thanksgiving!! TURKEY!!! MMMMMMMMMmmmmmmm turkey....

Oh so much to say! I LOVE the paris pictures...isn't it just amazing. I was there two weeks ago and forced Chris to do the kissy picture at the eiffle tower too! I almost begged him to take me to Disneyland, but decided against it. It looks like you had such a great time there!!!
Second...CONGRATULATIONS on baby #3! I am a little worried now, since I have an IUD...I thought those were nearly impossible to conceive with. I guess that this little one was meant to come now. I am so glad that everything went alright when they removed it (the IUD). I will cross my fingers for you that it will be a boy! When are you due?
