new addition..

OK so yeah, its been a bit i know, busy busy busy....so yeah we got a package awhile back from Nana and these adorable matching dresses were in them and it dawned on me that Nana hasn't seen then yet so, here you go Nana! 'Ain't they cute??? he he he...

















anywho, we got a new addition to our family, i call her ol' bessy,because well..she's old...but i love her.. yes i have joined the ranks of the minivan drivers!
and she's pretty much just a stepping stone until we can save and save and...save some more, for one that's a little bit newer...by 10 or 12 years even.. :) yes she's a 1996 chrystler town and country... with a leather interior, much to my sadness when i had to chop up my yoga mat to provide protection from the car seats.......no more yoga for sherry...(not that i did much in the first place....) for now at least... anywho.. i had fun getting various views of the interior, even one of my sexy shoffur (i cant spell that so bear with me...) i enjoy the fantasticness of my am/fm radio and even the fantastic tape deck! now i can play all my favorite tapes....oh wait... i don't have any tapes... well god bless the ipod, we bought a tape thingy that i plug into my ipod and i can hear my ipod over the radio now!! i love technology!













-k- so i walked into my girls room a week or 2 ago and found them being entirely too silly... don't believe me? look..




















pull-ups? but they've been pulled-down.. and on their heads even!! oh the silliness....and yes the children sleep in their undies at my house, and probably will until germany joins the ranks of the technologically advanced and discovers the joys of air conditioning..its not just for cars anymore!!!!



anywho, so we decided to do some remodeling, yes, the girls were CRAMPED... they we stuck in the smallest room in the house, and it was hot and we felt sorry for them and we discovered that the far back bedroom was easily the coolest room in the house so we moved out of our room and into the extra room, and yes the weee ones got our old room! which also happened to be the biggest room in the house, we figured the girls spend more time in their room then we do in ours so we gave them the bigger room, and its so much cleaner...



















they were ecstatic to say the least...... well among the business we've had recently we had a very dear friend deploy, and we invited his distraught wife (dunno if i spelled that right I'm sure she'll correct me when i get laughed at.....yar har fiddle dee dee...) anywho, she's stayin with us for a bit. so that's her daughter lying on the big fluffy blanket on top of the princess rug...:)




GASP! germany actually managed to get a decent snack food, and yay there a messy hit! push ups!! mmmmmmmelty yummy cold drippy, all over the balcony ice cream.....

and heres the cat..:) she's still so tiny, i dont let her outside because the wild cats around here are enormous!! and the 3 that i've seen, one is missing an eye, one is missing and ear, and the other only has 3 legs.... and they are HUGE!! if i didnt know any better i'd think they were lions... :D so yeah..she's not aloowed outside... anywho....thats the jist of everything right now..not alot going on....just..waiting to come home.....loving the sight seeing, hating having to live here.. but....im not suffering alone so all is well! :D gotta love friends..anywho... i hope all is well with everyone! we miss you guys so much! be safe, be happy! and we'll see you someday i hope...

Happy Birthday Kaylee Jaynn!

well, I'm going to start this blog with some childhood memories.. when i was little(er) we'd go to Idaho to go visit grama! and I'd wake up in the morning and go for a shower, step into the bath tub and scream rather pathetically (cuz everyone knows sherry doesn't have a scream...) because theres a particularly large spider crawling its way towards me, the poor ugly nasty thing would be trapped in the bath tub, and i was usually the unfortunate one to find it... and typically my dad would get it for me or my gramma would suck it up with the vacuum!
now i told you that story to tie into to this story... i woke up one particular morning before the girls and decided to take advantage, and have a quiet peaceful, relaxing HOT shower...unfortunately for me...i found this....

WA AH! thankfully Cory got it out for me... i dunno what he did with it, i assume foul play, but as long as i got to have my spider free shower, its all OK with me..... any who, i had my shower brushed and dried my hair and was very shocked to discover my hair is quite long seeing as how both my hair stylists got left behind when we moved to this dark stone aged country. I've been keeping it up in a twisty bun for so long i hadn't realized how long it's gotten, I've called the salon quite a few times to schedule a trim, but unfortunately I've heard nothing but horror stories about people going in for a trim and coming out bald....so I've called and cancelled every one of those appointments.....so my hair is free to grow until i either visit home, or find someone i can trust....
see how long it is!! the ends are really scraggly which is why i want a trim, but.....I've been burned by a too short hair cut before..... quite a few of them actually. and being married to superman himself i have become quite vain...:D......or so I've been told...

any who! tuesday (the 22nd), was my Kaylee's birthday! she is now a terrible two..although so far it hasn't been so terrible..:) her cake isn't exactly professional, but i did my best, and no i didn't write the words those were done by a professional..it was a pre-decorated cake, it had the trimming and the sprinkles on it already, i had them write "Happy Birthday Kaylee" on it, and then i went and bought some fun princess things, and had to break the crown to do it, but its no biggie it was a buck......

for some weird reason, i have one child (Nikoy) who can't just smile and get a picture taken she has to do some goofy pose, and then i have another child (Kaylee) who for some reason is terribly camera shy, she doesn't enjoy getting her picture taken she runs and hides......but she's GORGEOUS!!! so she'll learn to deal with it..... And thank you Grammy for the beautiful birthday dress! she LOVED it!

well we finally caught her and decorated her to get ready to open her presents!! weee!
she was so excited! i had her presents sitting on the table all day and had to continuously tell her not to touch.. so when she was finally allowed she went to town!!
she got some fun littlest pet shop toys and an outfit from grammy that she LOVED! and a MRS. spiders sunny patch movie that she was up till 10:30 watching....

all in all it was a pretty good haul! she got playdoh from mommy and a beautiful baby doll from daddy that she wont put down...

we kind of did things backwards... presents then cake, but she had fun spitting out the candles....yes you read that right... after a couple of blows she gave up and raspberried them out....oy...dont worry she's had her shots.....


YAY the candles are out, the cakes nice and soggy lets eat up!!

I'd like to thank merritt finch for selflessly putting herself in danger in taking these extreme close-ups of some wild toddlers...
here we see the shy little Kaylee monster, she may look sweet and innocent, but dont let her fool you... that's how they capture their prey..

and here is the mighty Rulon, the king of the toddler jungle, (only because in this herd he's the only boy....) and unlike most dogs, his bite really is worse then his bark.... and he'll get ya, with all 6 of his teeth.....

here we see the wild woman herself...kooky Nikoy, one minute she's purring like a kitten the next....a raging ball of fluff!

and here's the rarest of them all, the crazy Aryka! remember those animals whose bright colors are to warn you of how poisonous they are? well she's no different, her red hair is a sure sign of her temper! glad she's not an Aries!! but we still love her.....
and here are all four of our wild and crazy toddlers...separate they re quite docile but together... it's a party!!


:) anywho.. so after cake and ice cream the girls... and rulon... went into the girls room to watch Kaylee's new movie, i took kaylees doll out of her package and brought it in to her, and it was like handing a monkey a calculator....all who saw the doll was struck with awe.....

kaylee loves her dolly and is a wonderful pretend mommy!
she's even teaching it how to walk!! so yeah, anywho, we have a new member of our family to annouce.....yes ignoring my better judgement i went and did it....we bought a mini van (DUN DUN DUN!!!) we are torn between naming it "Sloth" because its big, slow and ugly... or just "old bessy.." cuz its old..... :D i'll have a new post up eventually cory and i get to speak at church so i'll have to tell you ALLLL about the incredibly fun anxiety atttack that sherry is bound to have..(i do not do well in public....)......(unless you really know me then nothing is sacred....i am a civilian after all... :D ) tee hee hee.....anywho... i'll have another post up soon, so dinna worry! (i gots a scottish brogue!!!) anywho....LOVES TO YOU ALL!!!!

It has begun...

well summers here, its hot as........well....to be blunt...Hell.....
and unfortunately for us high tech Americans, Germany has yet to come out of the dark ages and embrace air conditioning...what I wouldn't give for a swamp cooler....... well, nothing we can do now...

fantastic news! Kaylee's hair is long enough that if i use enough rubber bands i can get it all off her neck...unfortunately for me, she's the type of girl who likes it all in her face..... whats a mother to do?

we had fun trying out new hair styles....
Kaylee was..well....not terribly cooperative, it takes FOREVER to do her hair, nikoy LOVES people playing with her hair so she'll sit pretty darn still as long as your playing with her hair, but Kaylee always has something more important to do...

We were lucky enough to get a few packages! (thanks Nana and Grammy!)
and thankfully they both contained clothing!! and for some weird reason if you have a girl wearing 2T-4T your screwed as far as clothes, and shoes? not likely... so about every article of clothing the girls own is either from Grammy and Nana, or bought online... any who, i got off subject.. in Nana's package there were a couple of really adorable dresses with matching doll dresses, and well...we couldn't help ourselves....

she really wasn't thrilled to be wearing clothes...she'd run just far enough to get her out of our reach and she'd plop on the ground.... and then she finally gave up and just laid there and let the girls drag her around like a rag doll...... she was NOT happy.... and suddenly there was a loud BOOM! and we looked out the front window to see.....
"it's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring..."
"fell of the slide, and nearly died,and wouldn't get up the next morning...".. :D i just made that up...:D I'll tell ya what in Europe, when it rains,,,, it POURS!!! and in 2 minutes flat the streets are flooded and your soaked to the bone, and suddenly it stops and you look up and there is not a cloud in sight and you wonder if it really rained or if your just dreaming.....

so Cory came home from work on the 30Th of June with a new toy for the balcony...and the girls LOVE IT! they have been out there every day since putting the thing to good use... and it has many uses.....

Kaylee uses it for a drinking fountain.. (yes she's had her shots.....)

Nikoy uses it as a shower...... (hey whatever works...)
Whatever the use the Girls love to just sit and enjoy... nothing like a pool in your own back yard...theres just one thing you have to consider before you join us for a swim... we don't swim in your toilet, don't pee in our pool.... (one day i will have a backyard pool and that sign will be hanging from the gate.....oh yes... it will...)
Independence day was a fun day, we woke up and went to a real big pool in kaiserslautern, the "Monte mare" its a pain in the back pool that has the locker rooms in the basement the lap pool on one level, the normal pool on another and some awesome slides up even more slippery tiled stairs.. but oddly enough the way the building is made the pools are all in the ground, so if your not totally confused yet, your smarter then me! we'll just say its confusing, and i didn't have pictures of it because my camera isn't water proof and having to go up and down 2 flights of stairs just to get to the lockers don't help...so then after swimming we went to the BX for some good old American taco bell....:D...... and then we went home and got ourselves looking presentable, and went to ramstein airbase for some festivities!

much to my utter....amusement.... nikoy has reached the age where a simple smile wont cut it for pictures.... a scandalous pose is more fun......



the girls had so much fun on the one little ride they had, the adorable little boy in the drivers seat is Aryka's baby brother Rulon... and yes he's attempting to eat the truck......
The Girls and Rulon enjoyed going around and around for all of 2 and half minutes,
Kaylee was just happy she got to drive too....
Aryka didn't enjoy the ride much, so she waited... after the rides it was time to go home and have some Re-lax-a-shun! video games for daddy and a trashy romance novel for mommy ( *O_O*)(they're not that trashy...jeese...)

so yeah, we're still trying to decide whats to be done about a vehicle, theres not many choices at this point, not a lot of American spec vehicles, and since we are planning on shipping this new one home with us, it needs to be American specs, the mileage in miles and kilometers instead of just kilometers...an owners manual in English instead of German.... the driver to the left.... :D.... and Cory's little brothers getting married soon, and we're still trying to figure out how to get us all to San Antonio, unfortunately it may just be Cory going home for a week or so.. I have been having issues with my teeth, I'm all for the denture idea right now... I cant eat ANYTHING without downing some IB profen first. hopefully that will be taken care of at my dental appointment later this week.. yes i managed to get me a dental appointment on base, to do that it is literally like pulling teeth to get an adult dependant appointment. it's not to terribly hard to get one for the girls, Cory gets them made for him whether he wants it or not, but i have to be in pain to get an appointment....oh well...:) any who, that's all for now, we'll keep you all posted on the car dealio, and the San Antonio dealio, and shtuff. we love you all and hope all is well! be safe and stay classy San Diego........
